It actually was a beautiful night. We got everything loaded in the truck, their Yukon, and a couple other vehicles and proceeded to drive to their new house which is East. It was an experience for some, without 4 wheel drive, but we all made it safe and sound.
Their home is beautiful...
This is what it looked like the day after we moved them in.
We didn't move anything that day, but still came up to help unpack! We all know how it is when everyone leaves. Piles and Piles of boxes that need to be gone through and put in their proper place. Only, nobody, including the owner of the new home, knows where that proper place is or should be.
Hence, you get boxes everywhere.
Only one minor injury happened on moving day...
I got my finger closed in the car door. OUCH!! I couldn't pull it out of the door, it was closed nice and tightly on my finger. So I screamed and the door was then opened! haha
I proceeded to cry OUCH, OUCH, OUCH, many times until I was well taken care of with a bag of snow to put my finger in and some IBUProfin to take....both for the swelling.
This picture was taken the next day, but pretty much the top of my finger (1st joint and up) was swollen and black and blue. You can't see it really well in the picture, but you get the idea. The bruising actually went down my finger to about the middle of the 1st and middle knuckle joints.
Today (Sunday) the swelling appears to be mostly gone and there is a ring of bruising around my finger by the cutical of my nail. I think that must have been where it was smashed.
Two weeks ago, I fell off of her counter top and smashed up my leg which still isn't completely healed yet either!
I know... Poor Val!
I know... Poor Val!
I'm glad they could get all moved in. Now we just need to get their old home sold!
Any takers??
